Job Search Sites

Seems to be the top job search site at the moment at least in terms of the number of jobs I find in my searches.
Their email notification feature is pretty decent.

I have had a lot of good luck with HotJobs.com. Seems like a lot of headhunters for the area post here.
Unfortunately, they seem to keep putting the same jobs on the list with new dates. You just have to kind
of remember what jobs are old ones. The system will not let you apply for the same job twice though.

Dice.com seems to be a pretty good site to search for technical jobs. I think their mail notification sucks though.
They do have a military news section you can access though.

The old king of the job search sites. I find the other sites now produce better results on searches. The site also seems to be filled with stupid
work from home opportunities.

This is the link to Mlive.com's job section. This allows you to search the classified job listings of many
of Michigan's newspapers. I have found some good opportunities here that aren't on the other job search sites.

The official job site of the United States Federal Government. Some government jobs actually pay pretty well. This site is also
quite good for a government site.

The Michigan Talent Bank. This is the Michigan Works! job search site. There are very few I.T. jobs posted on here but it
is worth checking every once and awhile.

DetroitComputerwork.com is an I.T. focused job board worth searching. Computerwork.com was established in 1995 to serve the needs of both computer professionals seeking employment
and staffing firms and corporations seeking quality IT candidates.

Michigan Job Network has a job search, job advice, and links to local companies. Very Michigan oriented and also has city specific pages like Ann Arbor and Detroit.

Top Jobs USA Detroit jobs section. Click on link in upper left to search all Michigan cities. I haven't used this site much but seems to have a lot of job
listings and has interesting statistical feature of number of job postings available.

eWeek is one of the best sources I find to keep up on I.T. industry news. This is a Ziff Davis Media site.

This is another nice Ziff Davis Media site to keep up on current I.T. news.

This is a CNET Networks site specifically designed to provide IT content to people in the IT field.
There are a lot of articles for IT people seeking work.

This is a great site to keep up-to-date on all the companies laying off people. It also is a site for general
corporate rumors. The site name says it all. Pud, who runs this site, is a really cool dude.
